HAMILTON COUNTY SEEKS INPUT FROM CITIZENS ON BUDGET ISSUES

In preparation of the 2010 Hamilton County budget, the county is currently seeking input from residents on various budget issues through an online survey.  The survey is available now on the county website (www.hamiltoncountyohio.gov) and will remain in place through June 28, 2009.   Citizens who choose to complete the survey and provide contact information will be included in random drawings for use of the county suite at Great American Ballpark and Paul Brown Stadium.

The survey will be used to gauge citizen preferences as they relate to county services and to help identify the public’s spending priorities as they relate to allocating tax dollars to county services.  In July, the county will post the public survey results on the website and the Board of County Commissioners will consider the survey findings in developing the 2010 budget.

The public will also have an opportunity to express its views at public hearings to be scheduled in August 2009.  The revised budget process anticipates release of the Board of County Commissioner’s approved 2010 budget early this fall.
