Passenger Rail Initiative Briefing – September 14th 12:00-1:00 PM EDT‏

September 9th, 2009

As a member of CincyPAC, you are invited by the Office of the Governor to attend a webinar briefing on the status of the Ohio Passenger Rail Initiative; Monday, September 14th, 2009 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM EDT.

On October 2nd the State of Ohio will submit an application to the Federal Rail Authority for funding to support the 3C Quick Start Up service for passenger rail in Ohio.  Between now and October 2nd many critical milestones will have to be met in support of a successful application – not the least of which is strong demonstration of broad public support for the service in Ohio.  You are a leading voice in your community and across Ohio and we need your help.

The Governor’s Office will provide a briefing of the Ohio application process and status and we will discuss ways that you and your organization can actively support the passenger rail initiative.  We will also answer questions and field suggestions on how you can be directly involved in this effort.

The Federal Stimulus presents us with a historic opportunity and we are committed to taking full advantage of this opportunity.

Event Invitation: Haap on Board to Cadillac Ranch! Saturday, September 12th

September 7th, 2009

Join CincyPAC endorsed School Board candidate Jason Haap at Cadillac Ranch on Saturday, September 12th for a “Haap on Board!” fundraiser!  We’ll meet from 7-9pm, and the suggested donation is $10.

We welcome donations in any amount.  Your contribution of $10, $20, $50 or more will help this school board campaign continue with the grassroots momentum it’s already developed.  Starting at the Harvest Home Parade, we’re unveiling our eye-catching 4×8 foot signs featuring the “Haap on Board!” logo.  We have started printing flyers that actually include policy points and a detailed platform – all pointing back to the campaign web page, which boasts the most robust public platform and commentary of any school board candidate:  http://www.jasonhaap.com

As a candidate, Jason Haap has already succeeded in changing district policy to make the anti-harassment language more inclusive.  He has called for an investigation of building quality, and he continues to advocate for change through his campaign.

A contribution to the campaign not only helps elect Jason Haap to School Board, but it helps raise awareness of important issues, and it gets people talking about important policies too frequently overlooked during election cycles.
So please join us Saturday, September 12th at Cadillac Ranch for a “Haap on Board!” fundraiser!  We’ll meet from 7-9pm, and the suggested donation is $10.
